A prototype for a vulnerability and impact database

The EFLIP team just released Deliverable 2.1 ‘Prototype of the flood vulnerability and impact database with gaps filled’. The document collects previously scattered data on the economic impact of flood events in Lombardy between 2014 and 2019 and for which a National state of emergency was declared. It includes the indemnities paid to insurance policy holders, compensations paid for uninsured residential flood damage and state aid provided to economic entities to foster recovery. The document represent a first step in the creation of a comprehensive impact dataset for significant flood events occurred in Lombardy.
